Stranger Things is set in the 1980 and it is an American television series created by the Duffer Brothers for Netflix. The Duffer Brothers developed Stranger Things as a blend of investigative drama and supernatural horror, infused with childlike wonder and references to the popular culture of the 1980s.

Several thematic and directorial elements were inspired by the works of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, David Lynch, Stephen King, Wes Craven, H. P. Lovecraft, and FromSoftware. The show also drew inspiration from Cold War-era experiments and conspiracy theories involving secret government programs.

The story starts when a young boy vanishes in a small town where nothing ever happens, a town that uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl.
